Silver Jubilee Celebration | A Glorious Journey
The journey had begun in 1985 amid beautiful and quiet surroundings like a toddler it took cautious steps in the beginning but soon Sonarpur Mahavidyalaya stated making long strides towards academic excellence.
On its Silver Jubilee Year (2010) the College stands tall on its feet attracting students not only from neighbourhood but from the remote southern part of the South 24 Parganas district. Three well equipped faculties Science, Arts and Commerce not only cater to the basic needs of the Higher Education the College also takes care of physical and mental development of its students. An important feature Sonarpur Mahavidyalaya is close and cordial relationship between the teachers and the taught which often transgresses concrete walls of the class room and makes the process of teaching and learning truly fruitful. A large playground offers ample opportunity for outdoor games where as student’s common rooms provide facilities for indoor games.
A collective endeavour comprising Teaching and Non-Teaching staff as well as students has made the march of our College towards the dawn of an era of academic excellence possible. We are proud of our attainments. Similarly we are conscious of hurdle to cross in the years to come.
