INFRASTRUCTURE

 

The college has one two storied building.  The construction of half of the adjacent second building is complete now and is also being used to accommodate additional classrooms.  Among other infrastructural facilities, it has a Library, Common Rooms, Multi-Gym.  During the last few years infrastructural development has taken the college by storm.

Library

 

The college has a useful ‘open access’ library consisting of around 7,778 text and reference books including different reputed journals.  On payment of library deposit each students is provided with two library cards which are non-transferable.  Library has a reading room.  Students must be returned books within 7 days from the date of issue. Any student keeping a book beyond the time allowed will be fined as per rule.  Any book, lost, damaged or defaced must be replaced by the borrower.  Two leading daily newspapers and two different employment gazette have introduced for the students. Generally working hours of library is 10:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m., if required it may extend up to 19:00 p.m.

Common Rooms

 

There are a separate common rooms for our students of this college.  Newspaper and journals are subscribed for the students which are available in the common rooms on production of Common Room Cards.  Provision for indoor games like Carom,  Chess etc. are also available there.

Games and Sports

 

The college offers facilities of physical exercise to its students through games like Volleyball, Kabadi and encourages in athletics in the form of Annual Sports Meet. 

 

The college is affiliated with the Calcutta University Sports Board, and participates in Inter College Competitions, conducted by the University and DPI, Government of West Bengal.
